Yesterday Crouch End has increased the number of registrations in the area by over 300%.
THE RESULT TO-DATE:
373 people registered (303 people registered on the day and another 70 during the Awareness week) and
£5,150 raised for Delete Blood Cancer UK.
Huge THANK YOU from CrouchEnd4Margot, Team Margot and Delete Blood Cancer UK to everyone who was part of such an emotional and inspirational day. The day when our community really did come together for a fantastic cause. The list is so long, that we will have a dedicated page on the website to thank everyone who made Swab. Save a Life the success it was. Plenty of photographs are being sent to us and soon will be in the Gallery as records of the remarkable day. Shortly, we will have the footage of the day filmed by great team of students from The Elstree UTC.
Margot’s story and the message about the importance of stem cell donation went far beyond Crouch End yesterday and reached over 10 million people in London and South East, as BBC London News and ITV London News covered the event (click the images).
But this is not over yet. Crouch End 4 Margot drive continues until the end of January. More swabs planned for next week and more donations are coming on Just Giving page https://www.justgiving.com/CrouchEnd4Margot/.
Please share and spread the word and the link to our Just Giving page. Our volunteers are ready to register more potential life savers.
Yaser, Margot’s dad addresses volunteers before the start of the event and his words truly set the tone for the day.
HUGE THANK YOU!
